Download Songs from MySpace
Almost every band is on MySpace these days and while many of them allow you to download the music from their website, some do not. If the author were to give you permission to download the file and use it for yourself, this is one way you could easily get the audio from their MySpace page into an mp3.
1. You will first have to download Audacity, a free sound program to record the music. Click on the link for the latest non-beta version to download the program.
2. Once you’ve installed Audacity, start the program. It should look like this (minus the arrows)
3. Change the selection box(a) in the top right from “Microphone” to “What U Hear”
4. Get the MySpace page ready that you’d like to record from - I suggest hitting play and waiting for the track to play then hit stop - this way you shouldn’t have any problems buffering.
5. Go back to Audacity and click on the red circle(b) to begin recording
6. Hit play on the MySpace song you’d like to record.
7. Wait for the song to play and then hit the yellow swaure button in Audacity to stop.
8. You can then edit the track by clicking and dragging the mouse over parts that need to be cut out (extra blank space before or after the track) and then hitting the scissor icon in the top middle of the screen.
9. When you’re ready to save the file click File and then choose Export as Mp3 - tell the program where you want to save it, and what you want to call it - the program will also ask you for the Id3 data - just put in the Title of the Song and the Artist (you can fill in the rest if you’d like but it’s not really necessary).
10. You’re done!

This program is great! I love it! Thanks!
