Music for musing - October 2nd, 2006
This week’s mix is a bit mellow and quirky, but definitely not to be missed as it contains a new song from Damien Rice from his upcoming album 9, a live song from Emily Haines new album along with undiscovered music from Jess Hill, ABCs darlings Foy Vance and Joe Purdy as well as soundtrack tracks from The Hunger, Romeo and Juliet, and In The Mood for Love. With a vast variety like this how could you say no? Oh, and spoken word from Shane Koyczan, Canada’s answer to WMDs.
Tracklisting:
9 Crimes - Damien Rice
Trio in E Minor - Schubert (The Hunger Original Soundtrack)
Our Hell - Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton
Talk Show Host - Radiohead (Romeo & Juliet Original Soundtrack)
What’s Wrong with Me - Skye Edwards
Far Away Blues - Joe Purdy
Gabriel & The Vagabond - Foy Vance
The Burnt Over District - Hem (Original Soundtrack yet to be determined)
Una Palabra - Carlos Varela
Yumeji’s Theme - Umebayashi Shigeru (In the Mood for Love Original Soundtrack)
From Above - Jess Hill
Atlantis - Shane Koyczan & The Short Story Long
Bam! That’s a spicy meatball.

This is the perfect way to start a monday morning
Tu podcast hace que el lunes no sea lunes… ssino que sea el mejor dia de la semana!
Cantaste “Una Palabra” ??? no lo puedo creer!
I love love love “Atlantis”!
Celebrity crushes… how about Amy Lee… She’s my number one. You should include some songs off the new Evanessence album. It’s been a long time coming, and it does not dissapoint.
I …really…bet he does.
I would say that this week’s podcast was strong to quite strong. Very nice work. I’m digging the Foy Vance. Doesn’t “Foy Vance” sound like a good name for one of the characters on “Anchorman”?
